October Half-Term Hockey Program
We are delighted to announce the dates for our October Half-Term Hockey Program, which begins on Monday 19th October and will last two weeks. It will cover all ages and abilities and we welcome you all to develop your hockey skills over the half-term break!
The program has been designed by and will be delivered by the Bowdon HC coaching team, which includes:
> Simon Egerton, Ex GB, Rotterdam & current Men’s 1st team Player/ Coach
> Richie Dawson-Smith, EHL winner & current Men’s 1st team Vice Captain
> Rob Creffier, New Zealand international & current Ladies 1st Team Assistant Coach
> Dan Campbell, Men’s 1st Team & Club Coach
> Mike Power, Ladies 2nd Team & Junior Club Coach
There will also be further support from Men’s and Women’s 1st team squad members, as well as other respected Bowdon club coaches.
The Academy
Following the success of the summer program, the ever-popular ‘Academy’ returns. The Academy offers a real focus on performance hockey and will develop a wide range of skills required to reach the highest levels of the game.
Year 6 – Year 8
Monday & Wednesday
(19th, 21st, 26th & 28th)
3pm – 4.30pm
Year 9+
Tuesday & Thursday
(20th, 22nd, 27th & 29th)
3pm – 4.30pm
* The Academy was extremely popular in the summer with places selling out fast so we advise booking on as soon as possible *
Primary School Years
Alongside the Academy, there will be a daytime program for primary school years, times as below:
Reception – Year 2
9 – 11.45am, Monday to Friday
(19th – 30th)
Year 3 – Year 5
12 – 2.45pm, Monday to Friday
(19th – 30th)
Goalkeeper Training
Whilst we encourage goalkeepers to sign up to the Academy and day-time sessions we will also be offering specific goalkeeper training slots once a week. Tailored sessions will welcome goalkeepers of all abilities… even those who have never kitted up before!

Registering Your Place
With limited spaces available, places will be booked on a first come first serve basis. You can register your place today by clicking this link.

(Years 6-13, please note which days the academy is running for your year group.)
Following submission of the form, you will receive a confirmation email detailing how to make your payment. We kindly ask that you pay within 48 hours of receiving your confirmation to secure your booking.
Bowdon HC Members Booking Deadline
There will be a ‘priority’ booking period for Bowdon HC members until Saturday 10th October.
Non-Bowdon HC Members
Those that aren’t registered as Bowdon HC members will have to pay a surcharge of £2.50 per session. Bookings for non-members will open on Saturday 10th October and be open until the overall deadline of Saturday 16th October.
Booking Deadline
The final booking deadline will be Friday 16th October and all payments must be cleared by Sunday 18th October.
The program will adhere to strict England Hockey COVID-19 guidelines and all players must have completed their England Hockey Declaration form in order to attend.
