WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?

We need all players and volunteers at Bowdon to:

1. COMPLETE THE ENGLAND HOCKEY COVID-19 DECLARATION FORM as soon as possible (takes 2 minutes) – YOU CANNOT TRAIN OR PLAY UNTIL YOU HAVE DONE THIS

2. Ensure ALL players in your household are registered on Club Buzz and set up your email so emails from ‘[email protected]’ don’t go to your junk folder

3. Be prepared to register your attendance at EVERY training session and match – we are still working out how to do this (we have to submit this data back to England Hockey within 24 hours) and will need volunteers to help administer this for every session and team

4. Self-assess – if you have ANY symptoms, do not come to the club.

This EH infographic shows more about what is needed from every player, volunteer and supporter:EH Infographic

England Hockey require us to appoint a Club ‘COVID-19 Officer’ and we also need a supportive team in place.  We are grateful to Kate McAuliffe for stepping in to be the initial main point of contact for this as we get established, working closely with Janet Grant and Nancy Driver and others.

As this requirement will continue for the season and will need representatives from across the entire hockey section, please contact Jonny Grant, Hockey Chair, if you could help in any way: [email protected]

We still don’t know exactly when and how leagues will recommence, but by putting all measures in place as a club, we can at least begin to play intra-club matches and friendlies until that happens.  We will communicate further once we have all risk assessments, guidance and processes in place.

Finally, please support your captains, coaches and team managers with prompt response to any requests, as getting us all back on the pitch is not straightforward and will involve extensive additional time and resources.

Thank you – we look forward to seeing everyone back on the pitch very soon!
